About
GALLERIA CONTINUA is pleased to present Manuela Sedmach’s second solo exhibition in its Paris / Marais space. The series of Guardatori ("The Watchers") is at the heart of the exhibition: they ask to be observed quietly, at length. They may belong to the lunar landscapes that accompany them, to the Liminal, explosions of infinite matter or microscopic visions, to the Foglie ferite ("Injured leaves"), warrior souls. They observe the small plants of Kalanchoe, or the Ponte do Prado, a place where the magnificent rio Cávado flows, harboring surreal images. The Guardatori, who are they? Each must decide for themselves.
