Alina Szapocznikow: Autobiography in Fragments. A Centenary Retrospective

On the occasion of the centenary of the birth of Alina Szapocznikow (1926–1973), Loevenbruck gallery is celebrating her work across its two exhibition spaces, located at 6 and 12 rue Jacques Callot in Saint-Germain-des-Prés, by presenting a chronological journey through her creations from 1946 to 1972. Through these fragments, Szapocznikow shares her intimacy and experience, blending personal history with universal resonance. This exhibition invites us to discover the emotional power and formal singularity of this exceptional Franco-Polish artist, who succeeded in transforming suffering and memory into a sculptural language.
