Julien Carreyn Exposition personnelle

Dear Crèvecoeur, I hope you are well. We will be opening our sixth exhibition together in less than a month, and i am very much looking forward to it. The title will be ‘Exposition personnelle». Here is what I know so far: on the wall of 5 rue de Beaune, a selection of four small black-and-white photographs revolving around holidays, cousins — it will likely feel quite sparse. Perhaps a miniature painting. A long text, which can be read chronologically or fragments, starting anywhere: places, childhood, otherness, artistic practice, and more. In the more intimate rooms of the former antique shop at 7 rue de Beaune, and in the white cube a 7 bis: a selection of Polaroids of jewelry. Luxury and trinkets. Space-time, ellipses, stammerings, atmospheres. There are still a few things left for me to resolve. I look forward to the installation and to seeing you all very soon. Warm regards, Julien Carreyn
