Swallow the mist and disappear

Irene Abello, a 2021 graduate of the École des Beaux-Arts de Paris, draws inspiration from ephemeral natural phenomena - sometimes barely perceptible - which she treats as materials to be sculpted. Through minimal gestures, she crystallizes the physical transformations of matter and transposes our perceptual experiences into installations, photographs, and videos. Her works thus invite us to pay close attention to the elusive variations of reality that manifest themselves in our daily lives.
