Almost Like

OCHI is pleased to present Almost Like , a group exhibition featuring works by Peppi Bottrop, Mathew Cerletty, Michelle Grabner, Benjamin Langford, Stuart Middleton, Robert Rauschenberg, Amanda Ross-Ho, Analia Saban, Henrik Munk Soerensen, and Jeffrey Stuker. Almost Like will be on view at OCHI, located at 119 Lewis Street in Ketchum, Idaho, from March 13 – April 24, 2026. Almost Like gathers works that hover in the charged space between thing and depiction, presenting objects and images that feel uncannily familiar while never fully resolving into what they resemble. Across the exhibition, everyday motifs and materials are pushed through processes of translation such as printing, weaving, rubbing, and precision rendering, resulting in works that function less as copies than as proxies. These stand-ins carry traces of touch, labor, and mediation, drawing attention to surface and structure as subjects in themselves. The exhibition ultimately stages a choreography of nearness, asking viewers to consider how meaning shifts when the "real" is rerouted through pattern, archive, and technique, and how recognition gives way to doubt in that subtle interval.
