PMQ Picture Book Library "START FROM HERE" – All Things Bright and Beautiful "One eye sees, the other feels"

One eye sees, the other feels. How many reflections can a mirror hold? How many forms can waiting take? How far can imagination reach? How might we draw closer as we move between solitude and connection? Like light refracted through a kaleidoscope, a single theme reveals different facets as our perspectives shift. Inspired by Paul Klee's words, "One eye sees, the other feels," this exhibition explores the interplay between perception and emotion, where the world outside meets the world within. It invites us to consider how the same scene can take on different meanings through different ways of seeing and feeling. All Things Bright and Beautiful brings together the distinct sensibilities of Joanne and Li. Joanne looks outward, attuned to the subtle wonders of everyday life, while Li turns inward, seeking inner stillness and beauty. Their perspectives complement one another, allowing their shared creative practice to gain depth and nuance. A single story, too, can be expressed through different images and forms of storytelling, each offering its own interpretation and resonance.
