About
"Collaboration in Collision" is a site-responsive exhibition which re-articulates as an open invitation to two experienced artists/ collectives. Two entities, experienced art practitioners or artist initiatives, are invited to create a site-responsive exhibition at the Hong Kong Arts Centre, turning the exhibition space into a dialogic organism as one of the HKAC's flagship exhibition. This exhibition will begin with each participating entity carrying their own vocabulary from technological forms to conventional art forms such as art and tech, painting, installation, digital art, ceramics, or different kinds of artistic practices. After a period of mutual dialogue and collaboration, the two vocabularies will be coexisted, overlapped or reconciled. The resulting exhibition will be a juxtaposition, a fusion, or even a third voice that could have emerged or immersed between each other. It is not a group exhibition of different artists' works; it is an experiment in how two cosmologies can share gravity in connection. At the same time, this will be a site responsive exhibition where the art spaces or architecture of the HKAC is treated as a silent third collaborator.
