About

Tommaso Calabro Gallery is pleased to present the exhibition “See You”, held simultaneously at its Milan and Venice locations. The exhibition explores portraiture, one of art history’s most enduring and complex genres. Since antiquity, portraiture has served as a tool of memory and representation. It is rooted in theories of physiognomy, or the belief that outer appearance fully reflects inner character. “See You” brings together a range of historical perspectives, highlighting. how portraiture continues to evolve while remaining rooted in its original function: to render the presence of the other visible and to preserve identity over time. Conceived as a concluding moment in the gallery's journey, these exhibitions bring together years of research, encounters, and shared experiences. They are both a reflection and an invitation — to return, to look closely, and to spend time together once more. We hope to see many of you — _See You_ soon.
