Leah Korican – DOILoveYou

Leah Korican's installation is part of her ongoing DOILoveYou series and is a variation on a piece created for the Nashville International Airport, which was installed 2020-2022. It celebrates anonymous women, crocheting and creating, making doilies and antimacassars, and the meditative aspects of their repetitive gestures. This work says let's not merely make decor — let's take up space. The cut paper drapes across the ceiling and plays with light and shadow, and brings the viewer into a place of both reverie and exhilaration.
