About
Wild Hope, my new collection of mono prints and sculptures uses a language of form and color to evoke a deep desire for change. In the past, color has been a reflection of the nuanced and inconstant weather of my inner existence. In this series, I was playing with a brighter palette to create a more hopeful sense of play and possibility – while still working from an intuitive, improvisational process. My art practice draws on the shifting layers of experience, balancing between the deeply personal and the political. My work reflects my sense of impermanence in our present reality, while seeking to locate myself within the chaos of the contemporary world. These works are all Bichos affectionately but randomly named after pets.
