Fraenkel Gallery Presents Film Festival

Fraenkel Gallery Presents , at the Metrograph theater from May 8-9 and May 16-17, highlights six films from San Francisco’s Fraenkel Film Festival, each selected by artists from across the gallery’s program whose love for cinema inspires their practice. Rooted in the belief that cinema is best experienced collectively, the series features artists in-person at their respective screenings at Metrograph, introducing the selections and sharing the connections that shape their work. Altogether, the event foregrounds the theater as an extension of the artist’s studio—a space for inspiration, exchange, and the live encounter with art and film.
