About

Featuring photographs, prints, and drawings exclusively by women artists, _A Gallery of Their Own_ reveals the important role women artists have played in expanding the boundaries of works on paper. Many of the works explore surreal, dream-like scenes or the challenge of capturing movement in a still image. Some artists bring a sculptural approach to two-dimensional works, while others map the natural world in innovative ways. Drawn from the promised gift of local collectors Michael Carr and Peter Goldblum, the exhibition includes works by Louise Bourgeois, Lee Krasner, and Yayoi Kusama, among others.
