Engaging with myth, performance, and memory—often through the lens of Jewish ritual and folklore—Hannah Altman's photographs use everyday objects and scenery to conjure unexpectedly charged atmospheres. _Hannah Altman: Not a Circle but a Spiral_ presents a selection of Altman's photographs—including several new works commissioned for this exhibition—alongside Christian treasures from St. Vitus Cathedral in Prague and Jewish ceremonial art from the collection of the Jewish Museum, expanding on, in Altman's words, an "ongoing dialogue about inheritance, ritual, and reinvention."
