Between Lines

Salon 94 presents _Between Lines_, a new series of paintings by Ludovic Nkoth, marking his first major solo exhibition in New York City. Across the exhibition, Nkoth explores movement as both a physical and psychological experience, depicting dancers, figures in moments of interaction, and a constellation of profiles whose gestures move between performance and private experience. Drawing on ballet, performance, and the experience of migration, _Between Lines_ considers the ways we learn to move through the world through discipline, adaptation, memory, change and what remains within the body after that movement has passed.
