About

Spanning many periods, styles and techniques, this display brings together works from the Albion Art Collection, inviting visitors to slow down, look closely, and reflect on jewellery’s emotional and visual impact, and the role beauty plays. Explore the world’s most remarkable historic jewellery from the Albion Art Collection. Highlights include: British Aristocratic Tiaras – symbols of lineage and high society, some transformed into necklaces or brooches. Russian Crown Jewels – pre-revolution treasures commissioned by Empresses Elizabeth and Catherine the Great. British Noble & Royal Jewellery – intimate heirlooms revealing family life and dynastic traditions. Cameos– expertly carved reliefs reflecting classical and Neoclassical artistry. Grand Parures – coordinated ensembles of sapphires, diamonds, and pink topaz worn on state occasions. The Albion Art Collection now holds one of the most significant global collections of historic jewellery, selected for its emotional impact, artistic quality, and cultural resonance.
