Artists on the internet are returning to craft and zine-making, in response to AI and an increased awareness of the environmental impacts and omnipresent observation of everything we do, Using experimental publishing and DIY techniques, with web tools like Shrimpzine and Downpour, artists are building communities which offer alternative spaces to exchange and create a more hand-crafted and poetic web. From LAN parties, the Internet Phone Book and wikis, to zine swaps and libraries, Connection Established maps a history of online communities, inviting you to get involved and explore the re-emergence of the digital handmade.
