The Language of Light: A solo show by David Cottingham

The Language of Light brings together a new collection of paintings by British artist David Cottingham, exploring light as both a physical presence and an emotional force. Throughout his career, Cottingham has been fascinated by the way light transforms what we see. Moving between abstraction and figuration, his paintings capture fleeting moments — reflections across water, the warmth of a setting sun, the atmosphere of a landscape, and the energy and movement of the human figure.
