About

The world-class photography exhibition is back. Offering an insight into the artists working in the medium today, the Sony World Photography Awards bring the best images from the past year to the West and East Wings of Somerset House. This curation is a unique opportunity to see all of the winning and shortlisted images under one roof. Explore the very best of photography across a variety of styles, themes and genres: from urban encounters with capybaras to retirement home carnival celebrations; from young people in Uzbekistan rediscovering their roots through K-pop to the whimsical phenomenon of mushroom sporulation. Delve into two special showcases Outstanding Contribution to Photography A pioneer of colour and a street photography icon, Joel Meyerowitz's imagery will transport you to the streets of Europe and beyond through a mixed-media display including photographs, videos and soundscapes. Upgrade to a combo ticket granting entry to both the exhibition and an exclusive artist talk on 21 April at 7pm at Logan Hall , offering a unique chance to hear from Meyerowitz himself. 2025 Photographer of the Year Last year's Photographer of the Year Zed Nelson returns with an expanded presentation of his winning series The Anthropocene Illusion, which spotlights and questions humanity's attempts to tame and possess nature. From emerging talents to established artists, this is where the world comes to see what matters in the medium today.
