About
NATURE IN THE CITY, THE CITY IN NATURE New work by Frances Easter Brennan and John Vincent, practising artists who have been friends for 20 years; this is their first show together. Frances has made pieces in and around Epping Forest, using alternative photographic processes and ‘unseen’ drawings. John has gathered images and footage around the town of Letchworth Garden City, layering digital glitches, rips and tears within the work. YOU AND ME AND ME AND YOU William Stok and Valerie Large first met at St Martin’s School of Art and have shared a studio – and been married – for over 50 years. Valerie’s interest is in growth and the organic, and her work consists of painted canvas shapes stitched together, giving a bas-relief effect when hung. William’s recent work has been larger-scale abstract paintings of leaves. WHEN THE MARSHES CRAWLED UP TO THE VILLAGE Ella S Robinson is as an emerging artist, based in Walthamstow, with a focus on botanicals. Her work draws on a background in interiors and textile design, blending observational painting and illustration.
