About
_A Portrait of Thamesmead_ is an upcoming exhibition at the Lakeside Centre that portrays Thamesmead residents through large-scale charcoal drawings. Jamie Zubairi (Zooby) is an artist who uses portraiture to explore personality, expression, and place. The work was created by local residents during a workshop programme led by Zubairi, prior to the exhibition. The portraits will be accompanied by the soundscape of collaged interviews of people from Thamesmead.
