About

Atom Gallery presents Not My Type curated by Ceri Hine - a must-see group exhibition featuring new and selected works by thirty emerging and established artists including Carrie Reichardt, Haus of Lucy, Magda Archer and an exclusive first release of a screenprint from the iconic duo behind Tatty Devine. Running from 27th March – 18th April 2026, the show explores ' type' , looking at stereotypes, languages, typeface, etc.' The exhibition showcases artworks available to purchase across a range of media: printmaking, ceramics, painting and illustration. Curator Ceri Hine asked the artists to interpret the word "Type"- It has many meanings and invites broad interpretation. From languages (natural or artificial), being lost in translation, dialects, to love languages, being (or not) someone's 'type'. From "Type" as in typeface - looking at alphabets, signwriting and fonts in typing - to types of classification; identity stereotypes, groups, typecasting, subcultures and lifestyles. Ceri said: "Featuring works by some of the most exciting artists on the scene, the exhibition is truly a unique opportunity to celebrate the vibrancy of the UK art scene in 2026. There's such a wide pool of interpretation for the theme from being multi-lingual, signwriting and being lost in translation, I'm so excited to see what our artists do."
