About
A survey of the HAMBURGER set to explore its visual and cultural lexicon within the practices of APT artists. This group exhibition invites APT artists to engage with the familiar and global form that is the HAMBURGER. Considering its significance culturally, conceptually, formally and/or playfully. Stacking, wrapping, filling, producing, deconstructing, consuming; in choosing this food stuff loaded with significance in popular culture we are excited to explore how it can be used to feed active discussion across the membership of APT. The HAMBURGER as a litmus paper for social context and contemporary art dialogues. Curated by Alice Wilson, Lizzie Munn and Scott McCracken.
