About
Hosted by Hong Kong Arts Centre, "**Collaglacier: Piecing Together a Cooler World**" is a citywide collage art competition inviting children and teens aged 3-17 to champion creative sustainability through hands-on art. Piece by piece, the competition nurtures creativity and an eco-conscious world. Students are encouraged to express their thoughts on environmental protection and creative sustainability, transforming recycled materials and scavenged items into inspiring works of art. Through collage, participants can re-imagine waste as a resource while discovering the joy and endless possibilities of art creation. **Selected artworks will be exhibited at the Hong Kong Arts Centre in May 2026** to celebrate young artists' imagination and their commitment to climate action. [Online tutorials](https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLAq50vuYD3xnGq0K_pkXwaVJnYVGb54uo) will also be available, empowering everyone to explore and enjoy collage art at home. This year's competition proudly supports the [United Nations International Year of Glaciers' Preservation](https://news.un.org/en/story/2025/01/1159236). By piecing together their own 'cooler' worlds, Hong Kong's youths can illustrate how small actions drive big changes — and how creativity can inspire a more sustainable future for all. Let's piece together a cooler world — one artwork at a time.
