Shelter From The Storm

Shelter from the Storm Collage, paint, and found objects explore what it means to take shelter. Torn paper and weathered scraps are layered and given new purpose. Salvaged materials are mixed with paint and become roofs, doors, and walls beneath shifting skies. The artwork contains patterns of force and movement with a fragile, stubborn comfort of being safe within it. The storms can be weather, upheaval or the quiet turbulence of everyday life. The shelters are not fixed places. They are made, mended and shared.
