About
This notorious episode from Glenn O'Brien's late 1970s NYC cable access TV show is a mess in all the best ways. The budgetless program served as a barometer of things that made New York glorious at that moment, including punk rock, underground film, experimental poetry, and postmodern art. Abounding with technical difficulties and featuring cameos by some of New York's most legendary hipsters, _TV Party_ was a spirited improvisational playground–as Blondie's Chris Stein said of the hour-long show: "it's not chaos, it's art."
