The Lawnmower Video

In the Vault, CvsD presents _The Lawnmower Video_, starring Pope.L and the band Jon Waine. This short film features the only known footage of Jon Waine, recorded live in concert circa 1981. Jon Waine started in 1975 as a duo of Brian McCormack and Bill Pope (Pope.L), when they were students at Montclair State University in New Jersey, and expanded to a quartet and eventually quintet, featuring Franc Palaia on drums, Ellen La Forge on bass, and Steve Davison on rhythm guitar. In the video, Pope.L's bigger-than-life stage persona is clearly visible, offset by the everydayness of a segment dedicated to Pope.L mowing the lawn of the house he shared with McCormack in East Orange, New Jersey.
