About
As part of the “Family” theme cluster, a temporary presentation on the subject of _Language Families_ has been set up. The manuscripts on display showcase the linguistic diversity of the finds from the Turfan collection. Languages represented include those from the Indo-European family (Sanskrit, Tocharian, etc.), the Sino-Tibetan language family (Chinese, Tibetan, Tangut), the Turkic language family (Old Turkic), the Mongolian language family, and the Afro-Asiatic language family (Syro-Aramaic) are represented.
